Brain experts descend on city

LEADING experts in brain injury from across Britain will be heading to Swansea's Liberty Stadium for a conference.

They will be coming to the city on Friday, May 13, for the event during nationwide Action for Brain Injury week.

The conference will focus on the potential neurobehavioural complications for the survivors of brain injury and their families. It is being organised by clinical neuropsychologist Dr Simon Redpath, with support from Swansea law firm and catastrophic injury experts JCP Solicitors, in association with the neuro-rehabilitation unit at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Dr Simon Redpath, clinical neuropsychologist at the neuro-rehabilitation unit at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, said: "It is a real coup for the region to host such an event on brain injury by bringing together leading specialists in this rapidly developing field.

"It is hoped that this will be the first annual multidisciplinary conference on brain injury, which aims to be thoughtprovoking and insightful for those who work with survivors of brain injury and their families."
