Team leaves with hopes of nation

By Niccola Hazelman-Siona

The Manu Samoa Sevens team has left Samoa carrying the hopes of the nation into the HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, this weekend. Following their success in Las Vegas, the boys in blue have 100,000 reasons to emerge champions.

Last month, Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa?ilele Malielegaoi, challenged Coach Stephen Betham and his team to win the Hong Kong title. When the team departed, Coach Betham said it?s a challenge they have not taken lightly.

Betham said the tournament in Hong Kong would be even more difficult than Las Vegas but he is confident in his team. ?We have prepared as well as we should, I am confident in that,? he said.
