Sydney - By his own admission, Reni Maitua is still learning of his Samoan heritage. Eel Reni Maitua says his Samoan heritage is helping him to reinvent himself

Having taken part in a ground breaking three day camp for Pacific Islander players, the 29-year-old has revealed that it was his Samoan born father, Danny, who help save his career.

One of 50 players who took part in the Sydney based leadership camp over the weekend, Maitua is hoping he can use what he learned from his mistakes and impart some wisdom onto the youth like his father did to him. ?Dad?s someone I look up to and definitely respect,? Maitua told sportsnewsfirst.com.au.
