Our Olympic hopes rest with women lifters

It is the Olympic year and as countries around the world prepare Samoa?s weightlifting team carry Samoa?s hopes on their shoulders. ?Our hopes in getting a medal or medals in the Olympic Games rely on Ele and her sister Mary Opeloge, realistically our men do not stand a chance?

Tuaopepe Jerry Walwork coach of the National Weightlifting team said during an interview on the Samoa?s preparations for the Olympic games. ?Right now our focus is on qualifying and that will happen in May when Samoa will host the commonwealth weightlifting championships?

?Samoa is hosting a big tournament from May 22nd to the 26th during the Oceania and Commonwealth Senior, Junior and Youth Championships and during this event the Continental Olympic Qualifications?
