Samoa?s Kane Thompson is a Chief

Manu Samoa lock Kane Thompson has travelled New Zealand and the world playing rugby so he will be in familiar territory with the Chiefs in Queenstown on Saturday.

But it is five years since he last played Super Rugby. Thompson, who turned 30 last month, will be playing against a number of his former Highlanders and Southland team-mates when the Chiefs take on Jamie Joseph?s side in the second Super Rugby pre-season hit-out for both lineups.
