Kaino ready to take on London 2012

By Jasmine Netzler-Iose

It might be eight months away from the ?London 2012 Olympic Games? but Samoa?s heavy weight Taekwon-do gold medalist Kaino Fuataga is shaping up for first place.  His coach, Master Faalavelave Frank Frost who leaves Samoa for Australia today (Friday) said he plans for Fuataga to come over and stay with him for two months for training purposes.

?I am here only to help prepare him for the 2012 Olympics I have been working with him since 2007 for the South Pacific Games.?  He has been running his own programme in Samoa and has been overseas to a training camp in Mexico.

That had to be cut short because Kaino?s father, the president of the KL Taekwon-do Samoa Club Fuataga Kasimani Lautusi is ill in New Zealand said Fa?alavelave.  ?I was supposed to be in Mexico for four weeks but that was cut short to three as I had to go over to New Zealand to see to my father who was sick,? said Fuataga.
