Judo World Cup ends...training camp begins

By OJU World Cup Team

The Judo World Cup came to a close on Saturday evening after two days of competition at Faleata Gym.  A three day training camp started on Sunday with world-renown Judoka and Head Coach of the Georgian Judo Team, Mr. Peter Seisenbacher.

The purpose of the three day event is for Mr. Seisenbacher to share his expertise with the athletes- ?These people are coming from great distances, so having the training camp is a good way of maximising their trip and also a chance to learn competition techniques from world class Judo coaches like Peter Seisenbacher.

He is the first Gold medallist we have had to train the athletes? - Francois Martel, President of JAS and Event manager. Originally from Austria, Mr. Seisenbacher is one of the best Judoka to come out of his country, winning Gold twice at the Olympics and numerous medals in World and National championships as well. He is also the co-author of ?Modern Judo: Techniques of East and West?
