The Samoa Victims Support Group (SVSG) is defending the appointment of Manu Samoa Sevens star Paul Perez to fight against domestic violence.

In 2009, the then Taranaki representative Perez appeared at the New Plymouth District Court to avoid a conviction after being found guilty of twice assaulting his pregnant partner.
