Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Alhaji Faruk Adamu Aliyu, has challenged Governor Sule Lamido to declare his assets and stop castigating the personality of the CPC leader Muhammadu Buhari. The former minority leader of the House of Representatives, who spoke in Abuja yesterday, was reacting to statements credited to Lamido saying that Buhari is politically na�ve. ?General Muhammadu Buhari never said that he was born a politician. Of course, he was a proud military officer. But then what do you do with people like Sule Lamido who take pride in being old politicians, but at the back of their politics there is a lot of wealth that can?t be explained?? he asked rhetorically.
He said unlike Lamido, ?The tract records of General Buhari are clear. Buhari doesn?t have a property in Abuja because he can?t afford it... So, there is no comparison between Sule Lamido and Buhari. We are Sule Lamido?s mates politically.?
He said that the governor ?when he became a governor, had only one house in Abuja, one in Kano and one in Bamaina. Now that I speak to you, Governor Lamido has houses in Dutse, Abuja, Kano and a factory in Kano. If wealth acquisitions are what he called old age in politics, then count Buhari out..?
