President Goodluck Jonathan has said his administration will ensure compulsory improvement in the nation?s aviation industry so that the plane crash in Lagos on Sunday which took the nation into mourning will not repeat itself.
The president who described the plane crash as a sad incident to the country, said his government has been working hard in the past to improve the aviation sector so as to meet international standards.
He said the regulators and the operators would be made to improve on all facets of their operations to ensure that plane crashes become a thing of the past in Nigeria.
?You will all agree with me that aviation business is capital intensive and international business and as a nation this is a tragic event. We have been working very hard to improve aviation conditions in the country. For those of you who travel a lot, you must have seen a lot of work going on at the airport. The government is fully committed to improve the services in the aviation industry.
