Apia gets makeover

As Samoa?s 50th Independence draws closer, Apia is being given a makeover from in front of the Fiame Mataafa Faumuina Mulinuu II building towards the Mulinu?u peninsula. 

Employees of the Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) toiled in the boiling sun yesterday while they worked on aligning transplanted coconut trees on the grass in front of the Government building.  A worker who gave his name as Moe, said the makeover is in preparation for the Independence Day celebrations.
