?Time to move on?

Su?a Peter Schuster, the man who has guided the Samoa Rugby Union (SRU) during some of its brightest and darkest moments since 2007, is moving on. Speaking to the Samoa Observer, his first media interview since the appointment of Fred Amoa as the new CEO, last week, Su?a says he has no regrets about not reapplying for the position.

The former Manu Samoa coach says his time at the helm of Samoan rugby has been extremely challenging but also the most rewarding. In 2007, Su?a recalls that it was his passion for the development of rugby, which landed him the role.

?Rugby is my passion, it always has been and it always will be,? he says. ?It was that passion, the need to improve rugby that really motivated me.? Su?a knew the game well. Prior to his role as CEO of SRU, he had played the game, refereed and coached many teams.
