Friends and family of a boy who died of cancer added more than 1,000 to a fund set up in his memory at a pie and music night.
Harley Staples died in November 2009, aged eight.
His parents, Katherine and Jamie, of Blaby, set up The Harley Staples Cancer Trust to raise enough to provide a holiday home in Leicestershire for other children with cancer.
The latest in a series of fundraising events was the pie night at Entropy, in Hinckley Road, West End, Leicester, where one of Harley's favourite bands, The Screening, played an acoustic set.
Katherine said: "We raised 1,150 which isn't bad for a night out. We're really pleased. "There was a lovely atmosphere and great support for the charity.
"We want to say thanks to the brilliant team at Entropy and our great friends The Screening."
The cash will be added to the fund, which has so far raised more than 100,000.
Katherine and Jamie have set themselves a target of 500,000 to pay for the holiday home.
More fund-raising events include a fancy dress party at the Vipers Rugby Club on Saturday, May 7, a children's summer party at the social centre on Saturday, June 18, and GlastonBlaby festival on July 9.
