All cannot be lost

THERE'S no getting away from it — after the high of blowing away promotion rivals Norwich, it has been a disappointing week for the Swans.

Just when it looked as though the team could be heading for a glorious finish to the season and the dream of automatic promotion, there is a danger the wheels are starting to come off.

Saturday's defeat to Burnley in particular was spirit sapping.

But all is not lost, far from it. What is vital now is that the team — and the fans — regroup, get their heads together and, as the clich goes, treat every last game like a cup final.

It would be unforgivable if all the club's good work this season came to nothing, so reaching the play-offs is essential. Once that's been achieved, we know they can beat anyone on their day.

And if results go their way, you never know, they could still snatch second place and send spirits soaring.
